Terms of Use

Article 1 - Preamble

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern access to and use of the Atlas platform operated by Helix Research Intelligence, a SASU with its registered office at 50 rue Colbert, 92700 Colombes, France. Atlas is a B2B SaaS platform for artificial intelligence and document analysis designed to support translational biomedical research.


Article 2 - Definitions

  • Platform: the Atlas service, website, interfaces, features and related components.
  • User: any natural person accessing the Platform on behalf of their organization or במסגרת an authorized evaluation.
  • Account: individual or organizational access enabling use of certain Platform features.
  • User Content: any content, document, prompt, note, data, settings, files or information imported, entered or generated under the User's responsibility.
  • AI Outputs: any synthesis, ranking, suggestion, answer, summary, score, relationship, recommendation or other result produced or assisted by artificial intelligence components.

Article 3 - Purpose and acceptance

These Terms define the conditions under which Users may access and use Atlas. Accessing or using the Platform implies full acceptance of these Terms. If the User does not accept the Terms, the User must not use the Platform.


Article 4 - Description of the service

Atlas notably enables: exploration of scientific and bibliographic data; analysis of publications and research content; support for synthesis and prioritization; use of generative AI and assisted search features; and structuring research work in a collaborative or semi-collaborative environment.

Article 5 - Access to the service

Access to certain features may require an Account, an invitation or express authorization. Helix Research Intelligence may limit, suspend or condition access to all or part of the Platform. Certain features may also depend on third-party technical services or AI model providers, subject to their availability and configuration on the relevant instance.

Article 6 - Account creation and management

The User undertakes to provide accurate, up-to-date and complete information. The User is responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of credentials and for all use made through the Account.


Article 7 - User obligations

The User undertakes to use Atlas in compliance with the law, these Terms and the applicable documentation; to verify the scientific relevance of the content and outputs used; to ensure that they have the necessary rights in the imported content; and to protect their credentials and report any unauthorized use.

Article 8 - Prohibited uses

In particular, it is prohibited to use Atlas for unlawful, fraudulent or misleading purposes; to make direct medical, diagnostic, therapeutic or regulatory decisions without competent human review; to import identifiable personal health data without a specific contractual framework and appropriate compliance safeguards; to circumvent technical, security or usage limitations; to engage in unauthorized reverse engineering; to automate abusive scraping, bulk extraction or unfair competitive use; or to generate content that infringes third-party rights.

Article 9 - User-imported content

The User remains responsible for all User Content imported, entered or processed through the Platform. The User warrants that they hold the necessary authorizations and assumes the legal, scientific and operational consequences of its use.

Article 10 - Scientific data and public content

Atlas may use or reference public scientific data, bibliographic metadata, public clinical trials or other open sources. Helix Research Intelligence does not guarantee the completeness, continuous availability or absence of error in these third-party sources.


Article 11 - Use of artificial intelligence

The Platform may rely on third-party artificial intelligence models or providers, including OpenAI and DeepSeek. These components may contribute to analysis, synthesis, indexing, search or content generation. The Platform may also generate scores, rankings or highlighted scientific content based on internal rules, algorithmic processing or AI models. These mechanisms are intended to assist research work and do not constitute automated decisions producing legal effects on individuals.

Article 12 - Limits of generated results

AI Outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, non-exhaustive or biased. They are provided as assistance only and do not constitute a guarantee of scientific, technical, medical or regulatory validity. The User must verify sources, references, citations, scores, summaries and conclusions before making any decision, publication or critical use.

Article 13 - No medical advice and no medical device

Atlas does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, prescriptions, therapeutic advice or clinical recommendations. Atlas is not a medical device and is not designed, marketed or authorized as such.

Article 14 - User scientific responsibility

The User remains solely responsible for the scientific interpretation of results, research decisions, prioritization or communication, use of AI Outputs in internal processes, and validation of hypotheses, analyses and conclusions.


Article 15 - Intellectual property

The Platform, its algorithms, interfaces, databases, visual elements, methods, architectures and proprietary content remain the exclusive property of Helix Research Intelligence or its licensors. Subject to applicable third-party rights, the User retains rights in their User Content. The User grants Helix Research Intelligence the authorizations strictly necessary for hosting, indexing, analysis, backup, security and normal operation of the Platform.


Article 16 - Privacy and personal data

Helix Research Intelligence implements reasonable confidentiality and security measures. Personal data processing is described in the Privacy Policy. In Atlas's current setup, Helix Research Intelligence acts as data controller for the processing covered by the Platform, the website, account administration, security, support and contact requests.

Article 17 - Availability and evolution of the service

Atlas is provided on a reasonable-efforts basis. Helix Research Intelligence does not guarantee uninterrupted availability, absence of errors or absence of interruption. Helix Research Intelligence may evolve, correct, suspend or modify all or part of the Platform for technical, security, maintenance, compliance or product improvement reasons.

Article 18 - Account suspension or deletion

Helix Research Intelligence may suspend, restrict or delete an Account in case of breach of these Terms, security risk, unlawful use or failure to comply with applicable conditions.

Article 19 - Security

The User undertakes to use the Platform in a reasonable and secure manner. The User must promptly report any security incident, loss of credentials or suspected unauthorized access.

Article 20 - Third-party services and AI providers

The Platform may depend on third-party services, including hosting, analytics, authentication, storage, scientific APIs or AI providers. Helix Research Intelligence is not responsible for the unavailability, limitations or changes affecting such third parties.


Article 21 - Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Helix Research Intelligence shall not be liable for indirect or intangible damages, loss of business, loss of opportunity, loss of data, loss of revenue or consequences arising from misinterpretation of results. The User acknowledges that the Platform is a research assistance tool and not a substitute for human expertise.

Article 22 - Force majeure

Helix Research Intelligence shall not be liable for any failure caused by a force majeure event or by an external event reasonably beyond its control.


Article 23 - Changes to the Terms

Helix Research Intelligence may amend these Terms at any time. The applicable version is the one in force on the date of use of the Platform, unless otherwise specified.

Article 24 - Governing law and competent jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by French law. Subject to mandatory applicable rules, any dispute relating to their interpretation, validity or performance falls under the jurisdiction of the Paris courts.
